Armenian Folk Dance Ensemble a Hit in Istanbul
YEREVAN, Dec. 6 (ArmenPress) - The Armenian State Folk Dance Ensemble, led by Souren Chanchurian, made a success at one of the most prestigious concert halls in Istanbul.
The Armenian Patriarch of Istanbul, Archbishop Mesrob Mutafyan, other senior clergymen, as well as ambassador Ozdem Sanberk, Istanbul mayor advisor Jerri Khrimian, the chairman of the Turkish-Armenian Business Development Committee (TABDC) Kaan Soyak, and the chairman of the Armenian-Turkish Business Development Committee (ATBDC) Arsen Ghazarian were present at the first concert given on December 1.
Dikran Altun, the deputy chairman of TABDC, addressed those present,
expressing gratefulness to the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the Armenian Patriarch for contributing to the first cultural undertaking of the TABDC.
At the end of the concert, Chanchurian thanked the audience and expressed hope that the Armenians too will have the possibility to get acquainted with Turkish art in Yerevan.
