FAH Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show an Essential Success

EMERSON, NJ - On September 20, 2000 the Friends of the Armenian Home (FAH) hosted a fall fashion show and luncheon at Neiman Marcus, Paramus, NJ. As in previous years, Neiman Marcus provided all who attended a wonderful representation of fashions that were being shown for autumn. The range of designer clothing and accessories was exceptionally enjoyable this particular season. Lynne Vreeland, the head of Neiman Marcus Public Relations, was kind enough to arrange a wonderful array of styles of interest to the various ages represented.

Through the generosity of all who attended, in excess of $14,000 was collected from the tickets and the raffles. This money will be primarily used to enhance equipment needed for the rehabilitation center of the Home. There have been many strong supporters over the past few years. These women believe in the cause and have made the effort to attend these luncheons. Their presence provides the Home with emotional support as well as financial support, and for that reason, they are greatly appreciated

The FAH is a small yet very viable group of women. The dedication made throughout the course of the year is extremely impressive. This particular event was arranged with the efforts of Chairperson Armine Norian and her committee composed of Ida Gueyikian, Elbiz Baghdikian and Ica Kouyoumdjian.

The FAH would like to extend its thanks to Bertha Vaniskhian. Her continuous and tireless efforts have made the work of FAH respected within the community. The interest she has shown has provided impetus to those who work with her. The road to enabling rehabilitation is long and arduous. It consistently requires a great deal of participation and community outreach. While in this most challenging position of raising consciousness within the community, she has proven to be an invaluable inspiration. For this, the FAH extends its warm and heartfelt appreciation.
