STEPANAKERT, Nov.27 (ArmenPress) - Residents of Nagorno-Karabagh, institutions and various organizations contributed to the fund-raising campaign held within the framework of the November 23 telethon in Los Angeles on fund-raising for the construction of the "North-South" highway in Nagorno-Karabagh and schools in Gumri, Armenia.

The total sum of the donations amounted to about 39 million drams. Up to 54,000 Karabaghis participated in the telethon. 115-year-old Aninka Balayan was the first in Nagorno-Karabagh to make a donation amounting to 5.500 AMD.
