Dear Editor:
The Wall Street Journal, in its November 16, 2000 issue, gave the good news that "Turkey was accused by the European Parliament of genocide against Armenians 85 years ago, a decision to roil EU-Ankara ties."

This statement is a major victory for a historical fact whose acceptance will pave the way for Turkey to join the family of European nations and eventually to become a nation in good standing, as was the case with Germany after WWII.

Armenians all over the world should thank the European Parliament for recognizing the Armenian Genocide and taking this bold and just stand.
