17th Centenary Executive Committee Meets in Antelias
ANTELIAS, Lebanon - His Holiness Aram I presided over the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the 17th Centenary of the Proclamation of Christianity in Armenia, November 27-28, 2000, here.
In his welcoming remarks, Catholicos Aram I extended his brotherly greetings to His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, and underlined the importance of celebrating the 17th Centenary as an ongoing process of transformation and enrichment in the life of our church and people.
The representatives of the Catholicate of All Armenians and Catholicate of Cilicia heard the report of Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Executive Secretary, and discussed the details of the upcoming events of the 17th Centenary celebrations.
V. Rev. Nareg Alemezian, Executive Secretary of the 17th Centenary Committee of the Armenian Catholicate of Cilicia, reported on the activities sponsored by the Cilician Catholicate.
Participating in the meeting were the following members of the 17th Centenary Executive Committees of both Sees: Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian, Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan (Chairman), Archbishop Hovnan Derderian (Executive Secretary), Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian (Recording Secretary), Very Rev. Nareg Alemezian, Rev. Bagrat Galstanian (Recording Secretary) and Mr. Vosgeperan Arzoumanian.
The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be held March 27-28, 2001, in Holy Etchmiadzin.
